<span style="color: #222222;">Non Performing Assets (NPA) of Scheduled Commercial Banks in the country have declined in the last four years. The gross NPA, which was over 10 lakh 36 thousand crore rupees in 2018, has reached seven lakh 53 thousand 735 crore rupees in 2022. This was stated by the Minister of State for Finance Dr. Bhagwat Karad in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today. The Minister said, decline in NPA has been registered primarily due to Asset Quality Review undertaken by the Reserve Bank of India whereby the stressed assets were transparently recognized as NPA.</span><br />
