National Foundation for Communal Harmony, NFCH, has invited nominations for National Communal Harmony, NCH Awards this year from individuals and organizations for their outstanding contribution for promoting communal harmony and national integration. The awards consist of a citation of two lakh rupees for an individual based on his or her contribution over a period of ten years and five lakh rupees for an organisation towards the cause. An official release says that nominations complete in all respects may be sent through State Government, State Legislature, Members of Parliament, Union Territory Administration and Municipal Corporations.
Our Correspondent reports that the NCH Awards were instituted in 1996 by NFCH, an autonomous organization set up by the government for promoting communal harmony and national integration.
