In Tamil Nadu, nominations for the 39 Lok Sabha constituencies resumed after the holidays. Sitting Members of parliaments – Thambidurai of the AIADMK, Ramasubbu of the Congress and Ganesamurthy of the MDMK Parties filed their nominations today.

All the 39 nominees of the AIADMK party submitted their nomination papers today.
Other significant leaders MDMK Chief Vaiko, BJP leaders H.Raja, L. Ganesan and CPM leader Vasuki also filed their nominations at their respective constituencies.

As the Election Commission has made arrangements for e – filing of nominations it has been a smooth task for the authorities to handle the process. Long queues and thunderous colourful processions for the submission have taken a back seat this time.

The last date of nominations will be on the fifth of this month and the scrutiny will be on the 7th, the last date for withdrawal will be on the 9th.The date of poll is on the 24th .
