Candidates can file nominations for a total of 16,757 posts for the first phase of Panchayat elections. Electorates of 72 blocks of 21 districts of Jharkhand except Koderma, Khunti and Jamtara will go for voting on 14th of May for the first phase of panchayat elections. The fate of 14,079 posts of Ward members, 1,127 seats of Mukhiya, 1,405 posts of Panchayat Samiti Members and 146 posts of District Council members for the first phase of Panchayat elections will be decided on 17th of May, after counting of polls.<br />''<br />''Candidates can file their nomination forms till 23rd of April, with the elected office bearers from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be held on April 25 and 26. Jharkhand Panchayat elections will be held in four phases.</span>
