In Madhya Pradesh, filling of nomination papers for elections of Panchayati Raj institutions starts on Tuesday. Polling will be held for 49 Zila Panchayats, 313 Janpad Panchayats and 22,795 Gram Panchayats. The last date of filing of nominations is 2nd January. Scrutiny of nominations will take place on 4th January and nomination papers will be withdrawn till 6th January. Voting will be held in three phases on 18th, 21st and 24th January. Counting will be taken up on the same day. About two crore eighty seven lac voters in all the fifty districts are eligible to exercise their franchise in this election.<br/>
