In Uttar Pradesh, protesting farmers have stopped construction work being carried out by private builders at the housing schemes sites in NOIDA Extension.

The farmers alleged that NOIDA authorities and builders ignored the Court's directives regarding the farmers affected with the NOIDA extension housing schemes.

Our Allahabad correspondent reports that the farmers are demanding immediate allotment of 10 percent developed land to them. They are also demanding additional 64 percent compensation to the farmers as per directives of the Allahabad High Court.
