Noble laureate Yunus lost his final legal battle against High Court verdict on his removal

In Bangladesh, the Noble laureate Muhammad Yunus today lost his final legal battle against the High Court verdict on his removal from Grameen Bank as the appellate division of the country's Supreme Court declined to recall its earlier order. The seven-member bench of the appellate division headed by Chief Justice ABM Khairul Haque passed the order following conclusion of hearing. Muhammad Yunus had sought withdrawal of the Supreme Court order on April 5 that dismissed his petition filed against the High Court verdict upholding the Bank order removing him from the post.
