This was stated by the Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today. He said, as per the third advance estimate, the wheat production has been estimated to be 106.41 million tonnes during 2021-22 which is above the average production of 103.89 million tonnes during the last five years.<br />'' <br />''On India's ban on export of wheat, Mr. Tomar said that there is no adverse impact on income of wheat-growing farmers because, despite a ban on wheat export, farmers are getting good remunerative prices. He said domestic prices of wheat are ruling above MSP even after the ban on the export of wheat. In order to manage the overall food security of the country, the Central Government amended the export policy of wheat from free to prohibited.
