In Uttar Pradesh, Prasar Bharati Board Chairman Dr A. Surya Prakash has said now there is no U turn on the autonomy of All India Radio and Doordarshan. Addressing to senior officials of AIR and DD at Lucknow today, he said that Beti Bachao-Beti Padao, Swachhata Mission, women education and health like programmes are not of any government but these are notional programmes. He said both of these (DD and AIR) institutions have important role in achieving the target of government programmes. He emphasized on the quality of programmes and said the programmes directly linked with audience and listeners should be given importance.
