The Delhi police have put restrictions on certain routes ahead of the full dress rehearsal of Republic Day parade which will be held today in the national capital.The parade will start from Vijay Chowk at 9.50 AM and reach the Red Fort.Delhi Police in its traffic advisory has said that no traffic movemnet will be allowed from Vijay Chowk to India Gate on Rajpath from 5.00 AM to 1230 PM. Besides this, traffic will also be restricted on roads leading to the route of the parade.Rafi Marg, Janpath, Man Singh Road, Tilak Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Subhash Marg and the Red Fort road will be closed after 9.30 AM.Only residents of the area, government officials and pass holders will be allowed to go in the restricted area during the dress rehearsal parade. Inter-state buses coming from Gurgaon border will terminate at Dhaula Kuan.However, metro rail services will remain normal except for the Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan Metro stations which will be shut down for commuters till 12.30 PM.
