RBI’s deputy governor, Mr. Anand Sinha on Wednesday said that, at present there was no systemic risk from the rising bad loans. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a banking summit in Mumbai, Mr. Sinha said that the apex bank was not much worried about the retail loan segment but accepted that the segment itself was facing some pressure. Recently, banks have been witnessing rising risks from the unsecured portfolios of small and medium scale industries which primarily consists of personal and home loans apart from the credit card business.
