The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh today informed the Rajya Sabha that there was no specific commitment made in the Antrix-Devas deal. He added that such things do not come for cabinet approval as Antrix is a commercial arm of ISRO. Replying to supplementaries in the Rajya Sabha during question hour, Dr. Singh said that there is no question of PMO approving the deal. The Minister of State in Prime Minister's Office, V. Narainsamy said that a high power committee is looking into different aspects of the deal. The action will be taken based on the recommendations of the committee. Mr. Narainsamy renewed the government's commitment that those involved in the deal will not be spared.
