No secret deal b/w govt & Maoists in Collector's release : Ch'garh CM

The Chief Minister of Chattisgarh Raman Singh today said that his government has set up a committee to look into the demands of the Maoists. Briefing reporters in New Delhi, Mr. Singh denied reports about a secret deal or agreement between the state government and the Maoists on the release of Sukma collector Alex Paul Menon. The Chief Minister said that mediators from both the sides played a crucial role in the release of the collector who was abducted by the Maoists on the 21st of April, while he was holding a meeting in Majhipara village in Sukma district.He also favoured a uniform national policy to tackle hostage crisis in the naxal-affected areas.
