No respite from heatwave in UP

In UP, the heat wave is still continuing even as one to two degrees’ drop in day’s maximum temperature has been recorded from previous day’s temperature. According to met office the temperature in most of the places is still 3 to 4 degrees above normal. <br/><br/>Varanasi continues to be the hottest place of the state were the maximum temperature was recorded at 44.1 degrees Celsius. Allahabad recorded 42.5, Agra 41, Bareilly 40.0 and Gorakhpur recorded maximum temperature of 41.7. <br/><br/>AIR Gorakhpur correspondent quoting met officials reports that the sky is partly cloudy in Gorakhpur, Azamgarh and Faizabad divisions. Light drizzle occurred in Gosaingunj area of Faizabad last night giving some relief to people from intense heat. Shortage of power and drinking water is being reported from various parts of the state.<br/>AIR Gorakhpur correspondent reports that the vegetables are selling high in eastern UP.<br/>
