Brushing aside opposition demand, Government today asserted that there will be no resignation over Lalit Modi controversy and Vyapam scam and termed the allegations as baseless. <br/><br/>Talking to reporters after BJP Parliamentary Party meeting in New Delhi, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said the opposition is attacking the NDA government out of desperation as it has no issues to raise against the Centre. <br/><br/>He said during the meeting, it was decided to give a befitting reply to the misinformation on these issues and party MPs have been asked to counter the opposition strongly. Mr. Naqvi alleged that the opposition particularly, Congress is not interested in the discussion and it only wanted disruption of proceedings in both the Houses.<br/><br/>Mr Naqvi added during the meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi told the BJP MPs that they should be proud of government's work for the betterment of the poor. He said the Prime Minister also asked the MPs to take all the government initiatives for the development of the country to the people. <br/><br/>Mr Naqvi said Finance Minister Arun Jaitley gave information to party MPs about Lalit Modi issue and Vyapam scam, terming allegations against Chief Ministers of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, as fabricated. Senior BJP leader L K Advani, Party President Amit Shah and others were present at the meeting. A booklet namely Scam in Congress-ruled states, was distributed among the MPs.
