In Uttar Pradesh local administration has announced that no relaxation will be allowed today also in curfew restrictions in all four police stations of Baradari, Prem Nagar, Kotwali and Quila in Bareilly city. About 205 persons have been arrested from curfew hit areas for their alleged involvement in violence and violation of curfew restrictions.Quoting official sources our correspondent reports that four police personnel including in- charge of Quila police station and Jagatganj police out post have been put under suspension for alleged dereliction in duties. Two FIRs have been lodged for the incidents of violence in the city against several persons and many persons have been arrested in this connection.No fresh incident of violence was reported from curfew hit areas. Police have conducted raids and searches at several places across the town to nab the culprits. A total of 18 companies of security forces including Rapid Action Force RAF have been deployed at all sensitive areas and police patrolling intensified. All educational institutions, banks and commercial establishments will remain closed but government offices will be open. Identity cards of Government employees will be treated as curfew passes. Local administration has claimed that situation in Bareilly city is tense but under control and all possible measures are being taken to maintain peace and harmony.Curfew was imposed on August 11 in the areas after incidents of firing, stone pelting and arson between two rival groups. Initially curfew was imposed only in Jagatpur police out post area under Baradari police station. Two groups clashed each other over a Janmashtami procession was stopped by the rival group in the Baradari area.
