No reduction in the budget allocation for health sector: Nadda

Union Health Minister JP Nadda has said there is no reduction in the budget allocation for health sector and the ministry has already spent 96 percent of the total allocated amount in the last year.<br/><br/>Speaking to AIR in an interview Mr. Nadda said, last year, the budget allocation was about Rs. 22,000 crore, while this year it is increased to Rs. 31,000 crore. <br/><br/>He said there is need a better coordination between the Centre and the States for the proper spending of the budget.<br/><br/>Speaking on the issue of universal health coverage, the minister said the government is working on it and will be implemented very soon.<br/><br/>The full interview can be heard tonight in a daily programme News analysis and Spotlight at 9:15 pm at FM Gold and Rajdhani channels.
