South Central Railway General Manager GN Asthana has said the proposal of setting up of a satellite station at Gunadala will not materialize in near future. Speaking after inspecting the Vijayawada Railway Station he said there would not be any new railway stations in Vijayawada City.But the existing station would be developed with modern infrastructure. The Railway lines between Vijayawada and Narasapur and Vijayawada and Machilipatnam would be doubled at a cost of 800 crores rupees in four years.On the occasion Divisional Railway Manager D. Anurag and other Railway officials were also present.
