Minister of Road Transport and Highways and Shipping, Nitin Gadkari today said there is no question of scrapping toll collection on National Highways. Speaking at Economic Editor's Conference in New Delhi, Mr Gadkari said toll tax is important for better service. <br/><br/>The Minister had earlier announced the suspension of toll tax across all National Highways till midnight of November 11. Replying to a query, Mr Gadkari said, government has already awarded road projects with an investment of 3.17 lakh crore rupees this fiscal. He said government is committed on Setu Samudram Project and investments in Sagarmala Projects will touch 12 lakh crore rupees.
