<span style="color: #222222;">Reserve Bank of India has started work for a phased implementation of Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC). This was stated by Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today. The announcement about introduction of digital rupees was made in the Budget 2022-23.<br />''<br />''Mr. Chaudhary clarified that there is no proposal under consideration to exempt crypto currency transactions from taxes.
