Government has clarified that there is no proposal under consideration at present to bring in two child policy to control the rising population in the country. This was stated in the Lok Sabha today by the Minister of State for Health, Ashwini Choubey in a written reply.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''The Minister said, as per the National Family Health Survey data for the period of 2015-16, fertility rate has declined in the country to 2.2 as compared to 2.7 in 2005-06. He said 28 states and Union Territories have already achieved the replacement level fertility of 2.1 or less.&nbsp;<br />''<br />
