Petroleum Minister Murli Deora has said that the government may take a decision on the Kirit Parikh Panel recommendations of freeing the oil prices before the beginning of the Budget session. He, however, said that there is no proposal to raise the prices of petroleum products for now and the Cabinet Committee on Prices will take any decision on the issue. The Parikh Panel has called for freeing petrol and diesel prices and raising LPG rates by 100 rupees a cylinder and Kerosene by 6 rupees a litre.
