The Centre today said there is no proposal to make seeding Aadhaar with bank accounts mandatory for release of pension to the Central Government pensioners. <br/><br/>In a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha, Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office Dr. Jitendra Singh said eighty-seven percent pensioners of all age categories have seeded their bank accounts with Aadhaar number. <br/><br/>He said, the remaining thirteen percent, including those Government pensioners of the age of 80 and 90 years have not yet seeded their bank accounts with Aadhaar number. <br/><br/>He informed that government has made efforts to seed accounts of all Central Government pensioners with Aadhaar numbers so as to enable them to be benefited from the additional facility of submission of Digital Life Certificate.
