Rejecting media reports about 40 per cent hike in urea prices, the government on Monday clarified that no such proposal is under consideration and termed the reports baseless and factually incorrect.

The Chemical and Fertilizer Minister Srikant Jena in a statement has said that the retail price of Urea is notified by the Government and it is at present 5310 rupees per metric tonne.
