<span style="color: #222222;">The Government today said over three thousand nine hundred crore rupees is lying in 11 lakh 72 thousand 923 inoperative accounts under Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) Scheme as of March 31st last year. In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, the Minister of State for Labour and Employment Rameswar Teli said there is no proposal to enhance employers' contribution under EPF. He said Employees' Provident Fund Organisation has a robust online and transparent mechanism of claims processing and settlement in place. It is regularly monitored at the highest level. This system provides the access to the subscribers to ascertain the status of claim till the settlement is complete. The Minister said the processing of claims is an ongoing activity and the time taken is less than 20 days for most of the claims. Mr. Teli said till 22nd of this month in the current fiscal over 51 lakh 54 thousand provident fund claims have been settled.&nbsp;</span><br />
