The Government today said there is no proposal, at present, for setting up of an independent regulator for Railways. Giving this information in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, the Railway Minister, Ms Mamata Banerjee said the mid-term appraisal by the Planning for the 11th Five year Plan is in progress and the recommendations will be known only when the appraisal is finalized.<br/>
