External Affairs Minister S M Krishna today made it clear that no project in Arunachal Pradesh will be abandoned. The Minister said in Bangalore that the government has been able to mobilise internal resources for every project in Arunachal Pradesh and that there is no compulsion to seek funding from international financial institutions.<br/> <br/>Mr.Krishna was asked by reporters about a World Bank document which quoted him as saying that India will not pose any Arunachal Pradesh-specific project to the Bank whose Chinese executive director is pressing for operationalisation of the purported statement. The Minister said, it is not quoted correctly and that he never said India is going to abandon any projects either in Arunachal Pradesh or in any other state. Mr.Krishna said, Arunachal Pradesh is a part and parcel of India and it will certainly take up projects for development of people of the state.<br/> <br/>Mr.Krishna said, India is considering Sri Lanka's request for additional aid to ensure resettlement of internally displaced persons. Mr.Krishna said that the condition of Tamils in Sri Lanka after the Presidential elections is getting better. <br/>
