The Central Bureau of Investigation today asserted that no sanction or approval of the government is required in court monitored cases and referred to apex court's judgement in 2-G scam.
The investigating agency filed a fresh affidavit in the scam in the Supreme Court today. It sought Supreme Court permission to share its probe report with its prosecutor in the case.
The centre in its affidavit in the case admitted before the apex court that 189 out of 236 sought by CBI are not available. The coal ministry informed that an inter-ministerial committee has been constituted to examine and review non-availability of the documents and suggest appropriate action for locating them within a month.
The affidavit said 769 files and documents have been handed over to CBI apart from 26 series to probe the coal block allocation.
