No political appointee be given chief minister’s status: Dr Sangma

In Meghalaya, the state chief minister Dr Mukul Sangma has categorically said no political appointee would be given chief minister’s status. Talking to newsmen on Tuesday evening in Shillong after his first ever cabinet meeting, Dr Sangma said those who have already been given such status will be withdrawn.<br/><br/>Earlier, Dr Sangma also administered oath to as many as 17 MLAs as parliamentary secretaries.12 of them are Congress MLAs while three are independents. Coalition partner of MUA , HSPDP and UDP has one each as parliamentary secretary.<br/><br/>Those who took oath as parliamentary secretaries includes independent MLAs Liminson Sangma and Ismail Marak, Mr– Francis PR Sangma (Cong), Sniawbhalang Dhar (Cong), PW Khongjee (Cong), Shitlang Pale (Cong), Abdus Saleh (Cong), Lakmen Rymbui (Cong), Saleng Sangma (Cong), Cominone Ymbon (Cong), Samuel Sangma (Cong), Nehlang Lyngdoh (Cong), SW Rymbai (Cong), Pynshngainlang Syiem (Cong) and Remington Pyngrope (UDP), Dr A Pariong (HSPDP), Donkupar Massar (Ind). <br/> <br/>
