Government today asserted that no one will be spared for the irregularities committed in the AgustaWestland VVIP chopper deal. Talking to reporters outside Parliament, senior Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu took a dig at Congress over its demand for the Supreme Court monitored CBI probe in the case.<br/><br/> He wondered why the opposition party failed to take steps in this direction during UPA rule. He also said the scam occurred during previous regime and Defence Minister had put forward all the facts before the nation yesterday which Congress is not able to digest. Mr. Naidu also said there is no witch-hunting in the matter.<br/><br/>Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said, it is a well established fact that there was corruption in the deal and kickbacks were given. He said, investigation is on and action will be taken against those involved in it.<br/><br/>Recently, an Italian court has observed that there is a reasonable belief of corruption in the helicopter deal. The deal is related to the purchase of 12 helicopters from Italian manufacturer, Finmeccanica during the UPA rule.
