<span style="color: #222222;">Unique Identification Authority of India, UIDAI has said that no one shall be denied vaccine, medicine, hospitalization or treatment for want of Aadhaar.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In a statement, UIDAI said, certain news items that have appeared in media claiming that vaccination and a few other essential services like hospitalization, were being denied to the residents for want of Aadhaar.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Authority said that in the Covid pandemic circumstances, no one shall be denied a service and benefit just because he or she does not have an Aadhaar.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">It said, Aadhaar should not be misused as an excuse for denial of any essential service.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">UIDAI said, there is a well established exception handling mechanism (EHM) for Aadhaar and it should be followed to ensure delivery of benefits and services in the absence of Aadhaar.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">If a resident does not possess Aadhaar for any reason, he must not be denied essential services as per Aadhaar Act.</span><br />'' &nbsp;<br />
