Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Col Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore has said that no one can hide information in today's world due to the presence of social media. Releasing a book named 'India Connected : Mapping the impact of new media' in New Delhi today, Mr Rathore said, large number of people are connected on social media and the present government is trying to communicate with people through it. He said, social media has assumed its own importance and thats why many government Ministries and departments are coming on social media platforms like facebook and twitter. <br/><br/>He said, social media initiatives like MyGov and Narendra Modi App show that the Government is stepping out to make sure that it is in sync with the changing times. The Minister said, even Print and Electronics media is largely dependent on social media. The book has been edited by Dr Shalini Narayanan and Dr Sunetra Sen Narayan.
