Government today said there is no official estimation of quantum of black money in circulation in the country and the amount stashed outside the country. <br/><br/>In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said, the government, however, has taken number of action for eradicating and forfeiting black money. <br/><br/>Mr Jaitley said under direct taxes laws, such actions include searches, surveys, assessment of income, levy of tax, penalty and filing of prosecution complaints before criminal courts, wherever applicable. <br/><br/>He said from April to December 15, this year 15522 millions of currency notes printed in the country while it was 29,043 millions in 2016-17.
