In West Bengal, the State Health Ministry has declared that, there is no evidence of any negligence of doctors or medical attendants in the death of children at the B.C.Roy Hospital in Kolkata. With the death of one more child in the last 48 hours the death toll has risen to 13. A departmental enquiry had been carried out with three departmental members on the death of these children. The report on the deaths were also sent to the State Medical Council. The report said that such ill children were brought to the hospital in critical condition. A State health ministry communiqu’ said that none of the ailing children died due to medical negligence.
