No need for new law on triple talaq: Law Minister

The government today said there is no need for a new law on triple talaq. Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad told reporters on the sidelines of a function in New Delhi that the apex court has already declared the practice as unconstitutional. <br/><br/>The Law Minister was responding to a series of questions by reporters as to whether the government would bring out a law against triple talaq as favoured by two judges, including Chief Justice of India J S Khehar.<br/><br/>Mr Prasad said, the government will consider the issue in a structured manner.
