Government on Monday said there is no move by the Finance Ministry to change the fiscal year to January from April. An official statement clarified this in the wake of a newspaper report. The report also said the Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee is set to recommend one consolidated budget instead of separate railways and general budget. This was also denied by the government sources.
