Police in Iran's capital have decided to loosen up restrictions on women regarding Islamic dress code. <br/><br/>The Tehran police said they will no longer arrest women for breaching the country's conservative interpretation of Islamic dress code, which includes a ban on wearing nail polish, heavy makeup or loose headscarves. <br/><br/>Instead, violators will be ordered to take police-instructed classes on "Islamic values," while repeat offenders could still be subject to legal action, reported the Wall Street Journal. It has long been demanded by the young and reform-minded Iranians who helped re-elect President Hassan Rouhani, a relative moderate, earlier this year. <br/><br/>However hard-liners opposed to easing such rules. For nearly 40 years, women in Iran have been forced to cover their hair and wear long, loose garments.
