<br/>The monsoon in Uttar Pradesh is still not effective .The total 64.3 mm rainfall recorded in Uttar Pradesh so far is 58 percent is less than the normal rainfall marked in the first week of July. The rain fall deficit in eastern UP is about 70 per cent while in western UP the rainfall deficit is 35 percent.<br/><br/>According to the met department the total rain fall should be about 153 mm by this time. The weather expert says that the situation in western UP is little better than eastern UP. In western UP about 81 mm rain fall was recorded which is 35 percent less than the normal level while in eastern UP 53mm actual rain fall recorded which is 69 percent lower than the normal 171 mm mark. The weather department says that the south west monsoon arrived very late and rainfall was also not sufficient in this period.<br/><br/>Meanwhile the flood control department says even in some places water level is rising but the all rivers in UP are much below the danger mark.<br/><br/>Baharich district has recorded 17 mm rainfall during last twenty four hours. Varanasi recorded maximum 41.6 degree Celsius temperature, Banda 41.2 degree Celsius Kanpur 40 degree Celsius and Bareilly 38.2 degree Celsius during last twenty four hours .

No monsoon for UP yet
