No major flood threat in UP

There is no major flood threat In Uttar Pradesh but the Ganga River at Narora in Bulandshahr and in Kanpur city has reached warning levels. According to Central water commission the water level of the Ganga may rise in different places in the state due to the release of water in the Ganga at Haridwar.Water levels in Narora is expected to touch 80 thousand cusec by tomorrow the central water commission said.In Kanpur the Ganga is five centimeter above the warning level. The other main rivers Sharda, Ghagra and, Gomati rivers are flowing below the danger mark. The state government claimed that the 3.79 lakh hectare of paddy sowing is completed against the target of four lakh hectare.The Met department says that Light to medium rain fall will occur in many places of state during next twenty four hours.Malihabad in Luck now recorded highest 110 millimeter rain fall during the last twenty four hours. Kanpur recorded 35 mm., Hardoi 55 mm, Meerut 21mm and Hathras 16 mm rain fall during the last twenty four hours.
