India today dismissed suggestions that settlement of Kashmir issue was a pre-condition set by the US for a permanent seat at the UN Security Council. External affairs sources in New Delhi said, there is no linkage between the two issues. He was responding to queries on US President Barack Obama reported remarks on the issue. Terming it as purely speculative, the sources said India has an impeccable credentials to play a large role in all international institution, including the UN and the Security Council.
