Virtually rejecting the demand for a Joint Parliamentary Committee, JPC into 2G spectrum scam, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee has said the matter can be looked into by the Public Accounts Committee.Talking to media persons in Kolkata last evening, he said the PAC is a form of a permanent JPC chaired by a member of the Opposition. Asked what the government is doing to break the deadlock in Parliament, he expressed hope that normalcy will be restored next week.Referring to the Commonwealth Games scam, he said the government has already initiated investigations by various agencies. On the Adarsh housing scam, Mr Mukherjee said it is a state subject and the Centre does not have anything to do with it.
