No involvement in cancellation of Rajapaksa’s Oxford Union address: UK

UK says, it has no involvement in the cancellation of Rajapaksa’s Oxford Union address. The British Government in a statement clarified that they had no involvement in the planning of this meeting, nor the decision to cancel it. Citing security concerns, the Oxford Union in London yesterday cancelled the proposed address by the Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa, reportedly as a result of pressure applied by pro-LTTE activists.
