The Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi today said that there was no intention by party's veteran leader and Union Minister Beni Prasad Verma to lower down the dignity of the Electiion Commission.

Talking to media-persons in New Delhi, Mr Singhvi said that Mr Verma will present his stand before the Commission.

The Election Commission had issued a show cause notice to Mr. Verma seeking his explanation on his alleged minority sub-quota remarks latest by today evening.
