No hurdles in construction of RCF at Lalganj in Raebareili: Muniyappa

In Uttar Pradesh, the Railways has said there are no hurdles now in the construction of the Rail Coach Factory, RCF, at Lalganj in Raebareili district and the project will be completed on time. After visiting RCF site, Union Minister of State for Railways K H Muniyappa reiterated at Lucknow that the first rail coach would roll out of the factory by October next year. He said, all hurdles relating to the Rail Coach Factory project have been removed. He said, construction work of a township for the RCF employees will start very soon. Replying to a question, Mr. Muniyappa said, safety of rail passengers is a top priority of his Ministry.AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that RCF is spread over 1200 hectare of land, with a capacity to manufacture 1,500 coaches per annum. The Railway has said that the RCF is expected to provide direct and indirect employment to more than 10,000 people and lead to development of ancillaries in the area.
