Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy today denied the allegations that the state has any hidden agenda on the Mullaperiyar dam issue with Tamil Nadu. Inaugurating a seminar on Mullaperiyar dam in Thiruvananthapuram, he expressed confidence that the issue can be sorted out peacefully between the states and good neighbourly relation with Tamil Nadu is of paramount importance to Kerala.Chandy maintained that the safety of the century-old dam was a concern for his state and that a new structure was a solution. AIR correspondent reports that the Petition's Committee of the State Assembly is scheduled to visit the dam tomorrow.
