In Tamil Nadu, the General officer Commanding Chennai Area has reaffirmed that no guilty person will be shielded in the firing incident on the 3rd of this month. In a press release today, he stated that the army authorities are providing full assistance to the Crime Branch-CID in conducting investigations into the unfortunate death of the 13 year old boy, Dilshan. He said, that all army personnel present in the vicinity and the civilian security guard on duty in the compound who could throw light on the investigation have been made available for joint investigation both by the Military police and the CB CID. Reports say that a formal requisition had been given to the Army authorities seeking to interrogate some suspects.
