There is no fresh report of any major incident of firing and shelling by Pakistani forces at Line of Control and international border in Jammu following stern warning by India. Yet the forces from across the border targeted four Indian forward posts in Hirangar sector along the international border in Kathua district last night.

According to defence sources, the BSF retaliated the firing and the exchange of fire lasted for just few minutes. Since the last five nights it was the first night that there was no major incidents of Pak shelling was reported from anywhere along the international border and LoC in Jammu region.

The peaceful night has brought some relief to the border people though panic is still prevailing among them.
