No fresh incidents of major firing reported from Pakistan

Leaving aside a few minutes of skirmishes on four forward posts last night, there is no fresh report of firing and shelling by Pakistan forces along the International Border and Line of Control in Jammu region today. After nine days of heavy firing and mortar shelling from across the border, firing has de-escalated considerably.

However, around 8 pm last night, there was firing by Pakistan along IB in Hiranagar sector of Kathua district that lasted for 20 minutes, there was no loss of life or damage on Indian side. There was no firing along the IB in Jammu and Samba districts.

During last nine days, the entire International has and few areas along the Line of Control in Jammu region has witnessed heavy firing that has left eight persons dead over 90 others injured.
