Civil Aviation Ministry today released draft rules for no-fly list for unruly passengers travelling by domestic airlines. <br/><br/>This comes in the wake of an incident involving Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad who allegedly assaulted an Air India staffer following which he was banned by the carrier and subsequently by all national airlines. <br/><br/>Later after the MP regretted for his behaviour, the ban was revoked. <br/><br/>Talking to AIR, Minister of State for Civil Avaition Jayant Sinha said, the Ministry has proposed three kinds of unruly behaviour – disruptive behaviour, physically abusive and life threatening behaviour. He said, the person can be barred from flying for a period from three month to two years depending on the category of unruly behaviour. <br/><br/>Mr Sinha said, this is for first time that a No fly list is being proposed to address issues pertaining to civil aviation safety. He said, the Ministry has put draft rules on DGCA website for public comments and suggestions. <br/><br/>Mr Sinha said, the rules will be finalized by 30th of June after taking into consideration public comments and suggestions.
