There is no drought like situation prevailing in the country. In  a written reply in the Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Jal Shakti Rattan Lal Kataria, however, said, the Ministry has taken a number of measures to mitigate the situation of drought in the rural areas of the country.<br />''<br />''He said, Jal Shakti Abhiyan has been launched which is time-bound, mission-mode water conservation campaign.
